Originally deposited as a minidisc. Contains reminiscences from Ken Grasby. Born in 1926. Discusses leaving school, working with cows, his fathers occupation as the caretaker of Skidby cemetery, Gypsies, Hull Fair, market gardeners, people living on the farm during the blitz of Hull, sanitation, feeding pigs, bees, black market selling, price control, threshing, Skidby Mill grain storage, produce storage, small holdings, Skidby chalk houses, playing as a child, the work week on the farm, the decline of horses, market gardening, the job of scruffling, seeds, rations, eggs, selling produce to Birdseye, and taking sheep to market.
