Originally deposited as a minidisc. Contains reminiscences from George Crawforth. Born in Grimston, in 1914. Discusses working on his father’s dairy farm, hiring Irish labourers for harvest, going to cinemas in Hornsea and Hull, visiting local pubs, getting his own farm, using tractors, training horses, getting electricity, observing coastal erosion at Cliff Farm, Aldborough church disappearing over the cliff, taking animals to market, using buses and cars pre-World War II, remembering an airship blowing up in Hull, what leisure pursuits they had, going to dances, his relationships with girls and marriage, and work milling.
