A version of the Archiverse Minecraft map was made available to participants as an online, multiplayer server providing they had Minecraft Java Edition installed on their device and an internet connection. Participants were able to access the Archiverse server 24 hours a day, 7 days a week across the duration of the project. In-game creations were exported as screenshots and video by the project lead.
In-person Archiverse Minecraft events were delivered as an opportunity for participants to contribute to the project under the supervision of the project lead. In these one-to-one sessions, participants were using a version of the Archiverse map created in Minecraft Education Edition.
In-person Archiverse Minecraft events for Schools were delivered as an opportunity for participants to contribute to the project under the supervision of the project lead in the classroom. Participants were using a version of the Archiverse map created in Minecraft Education Edition and working together in multiplayer.
Participants were able to document their COVID-19 experiences in their own private game of Minecraft and email screenshots of their creations to the archives service.
